Cooler Weather is Here

Two days ago it was 79 degrees and sunny. Yesterday it was 45 degrees and cloudy. Today is a little more of the same. That is life in the Midwest. I love the weather changes because it means I never get bored with the weather. Growing up in LA for 25 years I got tired of the same weather day after day. The variety here is nice! The cooler weather means the grass is growing slower and I now have more time to work on the LandCruiser.

Last winter we had lots of home remodeling to do and I didn’t get an opportunity to work on the LandCruiser, so I am really looking forward to seeing what I can do with it this winter. It is a 1970 LandCruiser and my plan is to have the restoration done in time for its 50th birthday. Here are some photos of where we are at in the process. Yes, it is the same LandCruiser parked in the Cul-de-Sac next to my house in the photo in the banner above, but the weather here ripped apart the low quality Maaco paint job I had on it in just a couple of years and now I want to get it looking nice and new again with a quality renovation.

The doors are all removed and the windows are all out, except for the windshield. I am ready to take the top off and start working on the interior.

It is a 1970 and I promised it I would make it look brand new for it’s 50th birthday party!

I hope to get moving more quickly.
